11/15: Tell the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency to Put the Safety of Fillmore County's Drinking Water Ahead of an Industrial Feedlot's Convenience
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has refused the request of the Fillmore County Board and the residents of Fillmore County to order an environmental impact statement for the proposed 5,000 hog Catalpa LLC feedlot. The feedlot would produce 7 million gallons of manure that would be sprayed on fields laying atop karst topography, a land form that the MPCA recognizes as uniquely sensitive to ground and surface water contamination.
Tell the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency: The people of Fillmore County deserve clean water and full environmental impact statement for the proposed Catalpa LLC hog feedlot.
Contact the MPCA NOW by signing the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy's petition.
